Nars: All day luminous weightless foundation review...

This foundation is one of my go to foundations when I want a long-lasting and flawless face. Now getting a flawless finish does take a little prepping and time, but the end results are worth it. So, lets get started with the Pros or things that I love about the foundation.

Pros:
  • The foundation is long-lasting, I have worn it for over 12 hours and it still looks flawless until I take it off. Since I do have combination to dry skin I don’t get oily a lot only in my T-zone which at the end of my day my natural oils don’t make the foundation split or look oily. My natural oils combine very nicely with the foundation and makes my face look natural.
  • The foundation is water based so it’s runny, but don’t let that fool you because its coverage is amazing. One pump covers your face when using a synthetic brush, but with a beauty blender you are going to take up more product. When ever I use a BB I use one pump per side of my face, but wether you use a synthetic brush or a BB the coverage and feel of the foundation is still the same.
  • Fast drying, so, I do suggest you work one section at a time so your foundation doesn’t dry and leave dry spots on our face.
  • Feels very lightweight, and breathable therefore you feel like you have nothing on and it makes your skin look natural and even, you can say its like, the no makeup, makeup feel. So Nars got it right this time when naming it weightless foundation, now lets talk about the other part of the name.
  • Now why may you ask yourself, would Nars call this foundation All day luminous weightless foundation, when there is nothing luminous about it, well I ask my self the same ???. The foundation isn’t luminous its more velvet in all sense on the word because it feels silky and velvet on the skin, not that I mind because I actually really like the look of it. So, if your looking for a luminous foundation, sorry to brake it to you, but this isn’t it.
  • It has gold and green pigments, the gold pigment is suppose to remove any dullness and bring light to your skin and the green pigment is suppose to hide any redness you might have on your face. Therefore you don’t need any corrector to hide your redness or a liquid highlight to make your face look brighter because it already has it. And let me tell you that it actually does work because I have a lot of redness and discoloration on my face and this foundation hides my redness and evens my skin tone, so yes I love it.
  • Now lets talk about the Scarlet spidering root extract, I’m going to be honest I researched everywhere for this and couldn’t find any info on it except the Nars website info, so what the website says its good for is to help reduce the appearance of discoloration and reveal brighter, more even skin over time. I can say that yes my skin looks brighter and even when wearing the foundation, but I haven’t seen any improvements on my face since wearing it.
  • It has a pump, omg yes finally Nars incorporates a pump in its foundation. Much needed I might add because since it’s liquidy, can you imagine not having a pump, lets just say the foundation wouldn’t be just on my face if that was the case lol.

 Cons:
  • The major con or dislike of this foundation is that if you have extreme dryness or texture this foundation is going to accentuate does areas. So if you have a lot of dry patches that you can’t hydrate or exfoliate I don’t recommend this foundation. But, if you are like me and want to wear this foundation because it looks amazing, then I recommend a couple of things you can do to make this foundation work for you.
  1. Tone, hydrate, use a moisturizer that is recommended for dry skin I use the Cetaphil Lotion or Cream if you have stubborn dryness.
  2. Primer, use a hydrating primer for your dry areas my favorite one is from Smash box and its the blue hydrating primer and if you have texture like me I use a smoothing primer, I recommend Makeup for ever step 1 smoothing primer or BabySkin pore eraser as a drug store alternative.
  3. And lastly for more hydration spray a hydrating spray or mist all over the face before applying the foundation and after application.
  • Another con that I think is not so important because it has nothing to do with the foundation but more with the packaging is that the pump gets loose. I have to mention it because I wasn’t aware of this and I ruined my outfit for that day. If you are like me and like to keep your foundations with their cap on because the cap is so dam cute. Then I suggest you, to be careful when removing the cap of because the pump gets loose and since the product is watery your going to poor half of the product out on your clothes. Like I said its not a major issue but worth mentioning it just as a proaction measure.
Well my loves that is all I wanted to let you guys know about the foundation I hope you like my review and go check out the foundation for yourself, trust me your not going to regret it because the over all result is going to amaze you. Before I go I do want to mention that I also have a video review of this foundation on my Youtube Channel if you wish to check out the live swatches. So, I don’t think I have anything else to say other than thank you and bye…xox

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara Review.

Hi girls, I’m back with a Review on the Benefit Roller  Lash Mascara that I’ve been using on and off for a good 3 months now, and I can really say that I’m in love with it. So, lets get straight to why I love it, first because it keeps my lashes curled and with my crazy stubborn left lash it’s hard to find a mascara that keeps my curl without being waterproof. I have seriously been using a lot of mascaras, and for some reason, I keep going back to waterproof mascaras. I just love that I don’t have to re-curl my lashes after I have applied mascara, but I dislike that I have to struggle so much when I have to remove them. So, when I first came across this mascara, lets be honest, I got sucked in by the Benefit sales lady who showed me how nice and easy it was to curl my lash without a curling tool, I was sold. Not only does this mascara keep my curl, but it also lasts all day and when I say all day I mean all my 10 to 12 hour shifts. It doesn’t flake which I really appreciate at...
